MyPlan is the UW’s online academic planning tool, enhancing UW students’ experiences with their adviser and enabling students to make the most of their time at the UW by helping them to develop a comprehensive academic plan.
Find Courses and Filter Results
Search by course code, course title, or keyword and navigate the results to find courses that match your preferences and needs. Filter search results by quarters offered, number of credits, general education categories, and more.
Create Multi-Quarter Plans
Build an academic plan online through a single interface rather than manually navigating multiple systems. MyPlan enables you to add individual courses to your plan for the upcoming quarter, academic year, or all the way through graduation.
Bookmark Courses of Interest
Whether you are casually browsing through courses or getting recommendations from friends and advisers, you can bookmark courses of interest to use for future academic planning.
Audit Your Progress
Run easy-to-read HTML audits against your academic record within MyPlan to explore programs, help inform your course selections for upcoming quarters, and determine courses needed to fulfill academic requirements.
Build Your Schedule and Register for Course Sections
Add scheduled courses to your plan, and then use Schedule Builder to view different course options in a calendar grid. You can view up to 3 schedule options at a time, and pin your favorite schedules to save for later use. Choose the “View/Register” link on either your pinned schedules or from the displayed schedule options in your calendar grid to begin the Registration Hand-Off process.
You can also register through the Registration box on the upper right-hand corner of MyPlan. Add courses and sections to your plan, check the box details to see that they’re ready to send to registration, and select the “Register” button to send your course information directly to the registration system.
Review Your Plan with Advisers
UW students, meet with your adviser or share your plan with them online to discuss whether you are on track for success. By sharing your plan, advisers will have the ability to view, comment, and recommend courses, helping to ensure that you’re taking the right steps to achieve your academic goals.
