Dr. Trilby Coolidge earned a BA with in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of California and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington. She completed a NRSA Post-Doctoral Senior Fellow in Dental Public Health Sciences in the School of Dentistry at the UW supported by the T32 Interdisciplinary Oral Health Research training grant. Her research focused was Oral Health Disparities and Dental Fears.
Currently, she is Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Dental Public Health Sciences. She is the PI of a K23 Mentored Patient-Oriented grant from NIDCR/NIH to develop novel methods to encourage dentally-avoidant people to seek out dental care. Her research interests include psychometrics, dental fear, and behavior change theory.
