Daniel Gamelin and colleagues of the University of Washington, Seattle, together with Rudolf Bratschitsch and colleagues at the University of Konstanz, Germany, have used time-resolved Faraday rotation to measure the ultrafast spin dynamics in ZnO thin films with and without cobalt doping.
