Metadata (Data about data or how the map was made)

In Washington, the Long-tailed Weasel ranges from sea level up through all life zones and habitats into the alpine zone. It is usually more abundant in open than forested habitats and is the only weasel present in most of the steppe of eastern Washington.

The Long-tailed weasel is present in all regions and all zones except permanent ice and snow. All habitats are good except bare ground and development.
