University of Washington Libraries
The University of Washington Libraries are found at various locations campus-wide. Information about all the libraries, their collections and resources, plus access to online databases can be found on their website. Please note, however, that some online resources may not be accessible without a UW NetID.
Accessing the library from off-campus
Generally, once you are logged in through MyUW, you can access many of the UW Libraries’ databases. You may also access these resources via the UW Libraries proxy server.
Proxy Library Cards
Faculty may designate one or more people as proxies, who will be issued cards allowing them to check out materials for the faculty member. Applications for proxy cards are available from the Suzzallo Library circulation desk or the library cashier. Faculty are urged to designate proxies cautiously, as the faculty member—not the proxy—is responsible for any fines or charges accrued on the card.
