Dr. John Stivelman (Chief Medical Officer, NWKC; Associate Professor of Medicine, Clinician-Teacher pathway). Dr. Stivelman recently joined the faculty at the University of Washington from Emory University where he was co-Director of the Hemodialysis Program. His responsibilities include teaching and clinical research activities based at the Northwest Kidney Centers. He has developed the dialysis training program for nephrology fellows at NWKC and actively oversees that rotation. His research interests are in iron metabolism and erythropoietin therapy.
