Animal Use Training Program

TO ALL INCOMING 2016 STUDENTS:

Any individual at the University of Washington who wishes to carry out research using vertebrate animals must receive appropriate training and prior approval. This involves several steps intended to ensure the welfare of the animals, compliance with State and Federal laws, and the health and safety of the researcher.

The Animal Use Training Program’s new online course system is now available on the “Online Courses” page of our website (https://depts.washington.edu/auts/courses_online.html).  Users will need to log-in with their UW Net ID in order to complete online courses or view course completion certificates.

 

Instructions on how to complete an online course:

1) Go to https://depts.washington.edu/auts

2) Select “Online Courses” from the menu on the left side of the screen

3) Click the “Click Here” link to log-on with your UW Net ID

4) From the welcome page, choose “Take a Course or Exam”

5) Select the course or exam you wish to complete (Animal Use Laws & Regulations)

 

Instructions on how to view your course completion certificates:

1) Go to https://depts.washington.edu/auts

2) Select “Online Courses” from the menu on the left side of the screen

3) Click the “Click Here” link to log-on with your UW Net ID

4) From the welcome page, choose “View Your Course Certificates”

5) Click on a completion to view or print your certificate

 

PLEASE GIVE MARGIE TRENARY A COPY OF YOUR CERTIFICATE WHEN YOU ARE DONE!!!!

 

 

A note on viewing course completion certificates:

If you previously completed online animal use courses with a log-in other than your UW Net ID, these exam completions may not initially display.  If you find that you are missing any exam completions, please contact us at auts@uw.edu and we will be happy to migrate your previous completions to your new account (please include your full name and UW Net ID).
