Neuro Faculty, Tom Reh, uses new model to possibly treat vision loss

Biological Structures and Neuroscience Faculty member, Tom Reh, has been pushing the boundaries to understand the cell and molecular biology of regeneration in the eye. His lab, among four others, have received a grant of $30 million over the next five years. According to today’s funding announcement, new laboratory models will enable scientists to test novel, regenerative approaches and help transition potential treatments to clinical trials.   Gene and cell therapies are among the possibilities being explored.
