Neuroscience Graduates named to Husky 100

The Husky 100 is composed of 100 different University of Washington undergraduate and graduate students across the Bothell, Seattle, and Tacoma campuses. These 100 students are honored for making the most of their time while here at the UW.

This past spring, the graduate Neuroscience program had two PhD students receive the designation as part of the Husky 100. Kaitlyn Casimo (graduated Spring 2018) and Katie Reichard were honored as students who are working to better the UW campus, Washington state, and the world.

Katie has approached her graduate degree with an aggression to tackle the issues of inequality in science through a public policy lens. Katie’s goal is to make the culture here at UW and in science more inclusive, equitable and diverse. While, Kaitlyn has utilized her knowledge of our field to create new, innovative, and accessible ways to introduce science to others. Through creative, interactive, and informal storytelling, Kaitlyn has worked diligently to foster a love of science for others in our community.

Congratulations to our two devoted PhD students!
