Neuro-Oncology Rotation Information
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the University of Washington Medical Center provide a joint experience in neuro-oncology. There is a full-time Neuro-Oncology fellow who can assist in arranging a comprehensive experience. Outpatient clinics occur several days per week, and inpatient consultations can be seen with the attending, Dr. Alex Spence. Weekly neuropathology and brain-cutting conferences should be attended to maximize the learning experience. Once per week, the Neuro-Oncology team attends Tumor Board at the University of Washington Medical Center to discuss complicated or multi-disciplinary cases.
