Vascular Neurology (Stroke) Rotation Information
This one month rotation takes place almost completely at Harborview Medical Center. Residents will round with the post-call inpatient neurology service to see new stroke patients, and discuss such patients in detail with one of the Vascular Neurology faculty. They will attend 1-2 outpatient Stroke Clinics per week, the twice monthly Neuroradiology Stroke Conference at the VA Medical Center and Friday afternoon stroke conference at Harborview. Residents will be asked to supply evidence to support prognosis and treatment decisions, and will give 1-2 short teaching presentations during the month. Involvement in research projects is encouraged and can play a significant role if the resident so chooses.
