Most headaches occur in the rear of the head.

 

Helpful Definitions

Tinnitus = "ringing in the ears"

Nystagmus = irregular eye movements 

Dysphagia = difficulty swallowing

Syncope = fainting

Atrophy = "wasting away" (usually of muscles)

Analgesia = inability to feel pain

Dysesthesia = burning sensation

Ataxia = "wobbliness" or difficulty in coordination.


Did you know...

that the most common symptom is headache and will most often be felt in the back of the head?  The headaches are often worse during coughing, bending over or excercise. In fact, most adult patients who present with this condition will have headaches of this nature as their primary symptom.

Remember, if you feel that you suffer from some of these symptoms insist that you be examined and remember that an MRI is the only way to accurately confirm the diagnosis of this condition!
