Trent L. Tredway, M.D.
Assistant Professor

Dr. Tredway is an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine, an attending neurosurgeon at the University of Washington Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center, and holds a joint appointment as Assistant Professor in the department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington.

Dr. Tredway received his medical degree in 1997 from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. After completing a residency in Neurological Surgery at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago and a minimally invasive and complex spinal fellowship at the University of Chicago, in July, 2004, he joined the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington. His clinical practice concentrates on acute and chronic surgical management of patients with spinal disorders.


Patient Care:

Dr. Tredway’s clinical practice focuses primarily on all aspects of spinal neurosurgery including intramedullary spinal cord tumors, cervical and lumbar stenosis, herniated disc syndromes as well as treatment for atlanto-axial instability (C1-C2 disorders). He has special expertise in minimally invasive techniques, including micro-endoscopy. He also performs general neurosurgical procedures.

Dr. Tredway evaluates patients with spinal disorders on Tuesdays and Fridays in the Pavilion at the University of Washington Medical Center. Appointments may be scheduled by contacting the Department of Neurological Surgery at 206-598-9468.
