Shu-chin Tsui

Shu-chin Tsui is associate professor of Asian Studies & Film Studies at Bowdoin College. She is the author of Women Through the Lens: Gender and Nation in a Century of Chinese Cinema (Hawaii, 2003). She has also published many journal articles and book chapters on various topics in Chinese cinema. Her research and teaching interests include cinema studies, visual culture, gender issues and modern Chinese literature. Her new manuscript, Inscribing the Body and Gendering the Canon: Women and Visual Art in Contemporary China, is under review for publication.
