SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITES
NNER2009 welcomes the support of organizations wishing to contribute to the important work of renewing our schools and improving the institutions that prepare our teachers. Your organization will be making a public statement of its commitment to these important goals and will be well-recognized for its contribution. Sponsors may offer general conference support or may choose to make innovative targeted contributions to the conference, supporting specific conference activities.
The National Network for Educational Renewal (NNER) is made up of 40 universities from across the United States and Canada, all engaged in partnerships with more than 200 school districts in every kind of community, from isolated rural areas, to small towns and suburbs, to sprawling urban centers. Our shared mission for almost a decade has been the renewal of schools and the improvement of institutions that prepare our teachers.
We have three ambitious, interrelated goals:
- Provide all students with quality learning
- Promote and support equitable, outstanding teaching
- Prepare students to fulfill their roles as citizens in a democracy
The NNER is distinctive for having a minimal infrastructure that successfully supports a highly diverse and widely distributed network of members. Our resources and activities instead are centered on the member partnerships where groups of P-12 and university educators work.
This gathering is a landmark event in the growth of NNER – it represents the 10th Anniversary of In Praise of Education, an innovative conference held in Seattle in 1999.
John Goodlad, the NNER founder, envisioned and organized the first conference and he continues to be instrumental in advancing our work. Dr. Goodlad established the NNER's home in Seattle and this year's conference hopes to bring many who will return where this work began.
We want to extend a special invitation to sponsors to participate in the Opening Reception or Plenary Presentations on the weekend dates of the conference, Oct. 16 and 17, where you may benefit most by participating in the networking opportunities on site at the conference venue, the Hyatt Bellevue.
As an organization that values the pivotal role that education plays in our democratic society, we seek your support as a sponsor for this exciting tenth anniversary conference. Below you will see a table of tax- deductible sponsorship packages.
