Acknowledging NTUF and CNT:
We use acknowledgments in scientific publications as a key metric to demonstrate the local, national and international impact of our programs, and to apply for new sources of funding. Please remember to acknowledge us in your papers and to inform us of new conference and archival publications. You will find below suggested language for acknowledgments. Feel free to mention exceptional staff contributions by name.
"Part of this work was conducted at the University of Washington NanoTech User Facility, a member of the NSF National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN)."
For the MFF Microfabrication Facility
"Part of this work was conducted at the UW's College of Engineering's Microfabrication Facility, a member of the NSF National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN)."
As the Center for Nanotechnology supports many graduate student research projects the following are examples of acknowledgements, that must be placed into their publications related to their supported research:
For IGERT Fellowships:
"This research was supported by the Center for Nanotechnology at the UW with funding from an IGERT Fellowship Award NSF #DGE-0504573."
For UIF Fellowships:
"This research was supported by the Center for Nanotechnology at the UW through fellowship funding provided by the University of Washington Initiatives Fund (UIF)."
Thank you to the many conscientious people involved with the Center for Nanotechnology and Nanotechnology User Facility, for remembering these important words that provide us with proper recognition, which in return enables us to help support your research.
