NTUF collaborates with Center for Workforce Development at the University of Washington to document and observe the processes, progress, and changes that occur in the NNIN multidisciplinary, multi-site and multi-PIs collaboration. We develop methodologies and utilize both quantitative and qualitative methods to:
Conduct a longitudinal study assessing diversity and opportunity in the nanotechnology workforce
Examine the growth of nanotechnology as a field and discipline and its impact on society
Examine the patterns of communication within the SEI management team and the UW user facility
Examine social and ethical implications of nanotechnology research
