Overview

NTUF collaborates with Center for Workforce Development at the University of Washington to document and observe the processes, progress, and changes that occur in the NNIN multidisciplinary, multi-site and multi-PIs collaboration. We develop methodologies and utilize both quantitative and qualitative methods to:

• Conduct a longitudinal study assessing diversity and opportunity in the nanotechnology workforce
• Examine the growth of nanotechnology as a field and discipline and its impact on society
• Examine the patterns of communication within the SEI management team and the UW user facility
• Examine social and ethical implications of nanotechnology research
