The Get Permission Approach to Sensory Mealtime Challenges

Presented by Marsha Dunn Klein, MEd, OTR/L. The purpose of this workship is to look at mealtimes based on relationships. It focuses on children who have complicated sensory challenges, including those who are very worried about the sensory aspects of feeding, children who are inexperienced or who have had scary oral sensory experiences, those who are fed by tube, those who have visual impairments or those who are on the autism spectrum. This workshop provides extensive strategies for an approach of getting oral sensory permission as a foundation to oral motor treatment.
