David Spach, MD, is clinical director for the Northwest AIDS Education and Training Center (NW AETC) and professor of medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington at Madison Clinic, Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Spach has been published in numerous medical journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, The Annals of Internal medicine, Emerging Infectious Diseases, and The Journal of Infectious Diseases. He is editor-in-chief of the HIV Web Study (http://www.hivwebstudy.org), an educational Web site for health care workers dedicated in the clinical care of individuals infected with HIV.
