This is the fifth in a six-part webinar series from the National Association of County & City Health Officials (NACCHO). Presenters from the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP), the Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) and the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition will explore how to engage public health programs to advance breastfeeding initiatives at the community level. Public health practitioners will provide insight from their organizational experience supporting the implementation of local breastfeeding initiatives through national public health programs.

Learning Objectives:

  • List the breastfeeding performance measures for a least one national public health program
  • Identify potential role of frontline public health professionals in supporting local intitatives drivern by national programs
  • Discuss how one organization is leveraging their skills and expertise to influence national breastfeeding performance measures in their community
