Shapiro davidphilosophyforchildren.org David Shapiro is Education Director of the Northwest Center for Philosophy for Children. A full-time faculty member at Cascadia Community College, David has been doing philosophy with children at schools in an around Seattle since 1995. He has a B.A. in philosophy for the University of Minnesota, an M.A. in philosophy for the University of Washington and is completing his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Washington. His dissertation, which draws heavily from his work doing philosophy with pre-college students, is entitled "Learning to Feel Well: Moral Education and Philosophy for Children."
