Introduction | Accomplishments | Board of Directors | Feedback PRINT Board of Directors Jana's Bio | David's Bio Dr. Jana Mohr Lone janaphilosophyforchildren.org Jana Mohr Lone is the Director of the Northwest Center for Philosophy for Children. An affiliate faculty member of the University of Washington's Department of Philosophy, she is the editor-in-chief of the journal Questions: Philosophy for Young People. Since 1995, Jana has taught philosophy classes in many schools in Washington State, from preschool to high school, and she is a frequent writer and speaker about pre-college philosophy. Jana received a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1982, a J.D. in law from George Washington University in 1985, and an M.A. (1990) and Ph.D. (1996) in philosophy from the University of Washington. She is involved with several Pacific Northwest organizations that provide services and advocacy for young people.
