How to Apply to CWTAP at the University of Washington, Seattle and the University of Washington, Tacoma:

1. Gain admission to the MSW program at the University of Washington, Seattle (Day, Advanced Standing, Extended Degree-Evening, or Extended Degree-Weekend Program) or the University of Washington, Tacoma (Advanced Standing or Evening Program).

2. Complete a CWTAP application packet.

All Newly Admitted Students
CWTAP works closely with the Social Work Admissions Offices at University of Washington, Seattle and University of Washington, Tacoma. As a result, newly admitted MSW students will automatically receive a copy of our CWTAP application shortly after receiving their letter of acceptance into the MSW program.

Current Seattle Students
Prospective applicants to CWTAP who are already enrolled in the MSW should contact Ms. Poonam Lata at (206) 616-7422 or pchant@u.washington.edu and request that your name be added to our list to receive a CWTAP application.

Current Tacoma Students
Prospective applicants to CWTAP who are already enrolled in the MSW program at UW, Tacoma should contact Ms. Yasmeen Holmes at (253) 692-4530 or holmey@u.washington.edu and request that your name be added to our list to receive a CWTAP application.

3. Attend a CWTAP pre-application orientation session.

4. Attend a CWTAP applicant interview.

Note: At present, CWTAP is uncapped. We are able to admit as many qualified candidates as we can accommodate into our field units.


Dates for the CWTAP Admission process:

STUDENTS WHO JUST GOT ACCEPTED INTO THE MSW PROGRAM WILL BE RECEIVING THE CWTAP APPLICATION PACKET IN MID MAY.

THE ADMISSION DATES BELOW ARE FOR CURRENT MSW STUDENTS WHO ARE IN THEIR SECOND OR THIRD YEAR OF THE PROGRAM.
