Lipid Specialty ClinicThe lipid specialty clinic is an outpatient service of Harborview Medical Center. It is conducted weekly on Tuesday mornings. The staff includes Robert H. Knopp, MD, NWLRC Director, other physicians, registered nurses, registered dietitians, and UW faculty, senior research fellows, residents, and medical students. Patients at the lipid specialty clinic have hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol or high triglycerides) or other endocrine disorders, such as diabetes. The interaction between female hormone treatment and lipid disorders is a special interest at the clinic. Patients may be referred by their physician, or may refer themselves, insurance permitting. If you or your physician think the clinic services would be helpful for your condition, please call 206-744-9200, 7 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, regarding appointments, fees and insurance coverage, and other information. |
