Who We Are
OACIS staff members come from departments across University of Washington (UW) campus and Washington State public schools. Because marine science at the UW spans across campus, OACIS faculty, staff, and fellows come from many programs including Oceanography, Biology, Aquatic & Fishery Sciences, and Earth & Space Sciences, among others. Our steering committee and teachers are enthusiastic staff from Washington State public schools who offer their expertise on integrated science curriculum in the high school environment. Each OACIS team member offers a unique perspective and creative ideas on how to build marine science into the K-12 curriculum.
