AIDS Clinical Trials

Jane E Hitti, MD, MPH

The Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center/University of Washington/Perinatal ACTU is the only Pediatric ACTU in the Pacific Northwest. This ACTU offers treatment trials to all HIV-infected pregnant women and HIV exposed or infected children in the states of Washington, Alaska, Montana, Idaho and Oregon. This subcontract from Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center to the University of Washington provides salary support for Dr. Jane Hitti who oversees the care and enrollment of all HIV-infected pregnant women, Kathleen Mohan, the Pediatric ACTU Study Coordinator based at CHMC, and Deborah Goldman, Research Nurse, based at the Northwest Family Center. In addition, this subcontract provides funds for virology subsets, lymphocyte subset testing, and obstetrical and peripartum testing.
