Introduction
OB/GYN associates, PA is a single specialty OB/GYN practice located in 3 separate clinical sites: Caldwell, Meridian, and Eagle. Students will primarily work in the Caldwell or Meridian sites. The physicians in Caldwell work at West Valley Medical Center and the physicians in Meridian work at St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center. Students will need to arrange orientation at their respective hospital(s). Dr. Bradley will be in e-mail contact with you several weeks before the beginning of your rotation to instruct you on the details of arranging your orientation. In general, if there is one student assigned he/she will be in Meridian and when two are assigned one student will be at each site.

Most students find that the advantages of this site include participation in many deliveries and surgeries and significant contact with the private practice physicians. The pace in clinic is often hectic and this can be frustrating to students. This is an introduction to the real world practice of medicine where patient care needs will supersede other needs such as provider comfort or educational objectives. Traditionally, we have not offered formal didactic due to high volume patient care demands. Students who are independent learners tend to do well at this site. All students, regardless of preferred learning style, will be introduced to the exciting, demanding, and rewarding specialty of OB/GYN and will learn the basics of obstetrics and gynecology. |
