The OB GYN rotation in Havre will be with the only OB GYN provider in the group practice at Northern Montana Medical Center. The setting is a rural practice environment. The hospital, Northern Montana Hospital, is the only hospital in the community, and serves the 10,000 residents in the town of Havre and also the 16,000 surrounding sq miles for a total of about 30,000 patients. The hospital is a 49-bed facility. The obstetrical unit is an LDRP set up.
The OB GYN rotation will be in addition to the existing, longstanding Family Medicine rotation, which has been very popular.
The town of Havre is close to the Bear Paw Mountains, 40 miles from the Canadian border, and 3 1/2 hours from Glacier National Park. Amtrak provides daily service to Havre. |
