Cody, Wyoming is a wonderful community of approximately 8800 people at 5500 ft at the entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Cody is a part of the Big Horn Basin – surrounded by the Absaroka, Big Horns and Beartooth mountain ranges. It boast some of the most beautiful scenery in the United States. While being a hunting, fishing, outdoor heaven, the town of Cody has the diversity of being a small town in the winter while hosting over a million visitors in the summer, giving it some "large" town qualities while maintaining in Western hospitality and lifestyle. The medical community is centered around West Park Hospital. The draw area for patients is the entire basin – approximately 55,000 people who drive from 1 – 3 hours to Cody for medical treatment. There is also a Surgical Center and we have our own Cancer Treatment Center. There is an exceptional staff of physicians who "choose" to live in Cody to enjoy the outdoors and West. We have most specialist available in town, and we refer patients to Billings (1.5 hours away) for superspecialty care or at times Denver and Salt Lake City. Cody has a regional airport you can fly in and out of, a fabulous state of the art recreation center, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and many other amenities you would not find in a town of this size. Cody is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.
West Park Hospital
Is a 25 bed critical access hospital with a new Women's Pavilion and nursery. There are four Labor/Delivery/ Postpartum rooms and two gynecology rooms. We have approximately 250 deliveries per year.

Northwest Family Planning
You will be spending some time during your rotation at Northwest Family Planning.
Northern Wyoming Surgical Center
Students will spend time at Northern Wyoming Surgical Center for surgeries and outpatient clinics.
Please contact Todd prior to the start of your rotation. Students must have a copy of their TB shot record to be able to start rotating at Northern Wyoming Surgical Center.
A furnished cottage will be provided near the hospital/clinic. There is a washer/dryer, linens, equipped kitchen, a bedroom and study, television and internet. Housing information will be given to you when you contact A Woman's Place prior to the start of your rotation.
Several obstetric and gynecologic textbooks will be available to the students. Our intention is to provide the basics of routine obstetrics and gynecology, both through academic reading and with hands-on patient experience. Computer access is available at both offices and at the hospital.
Call and Pagers
Call for obstetrical deliveries is variable depending primarily on nature. Dr. Williams usually has between 8-15 deliveries per month and is on call 50% of the time. Students take call with Dr. Williams on a couple of the weekends, and she calls them when there is something to do on her nights on call.
