Donald Barford, MD receives Washington State Obstetrical Association's Distinguished Service Award

Congratulations to Dr. Donald Barford, who was honored on December 10 at the annual meeting of the Washington State Obstetrical Association with the group's distinguished service award. The award is presented periodically to an individual who has shown outstanding leadership, service, and dedication to excellence in women's health care above and beyond personal practice and the association. Dr. Barford has mentored and supported individuals training and practicing obstetrics and gynecology throughout the state, in communities large and small. He has been an active advocate in Olympia and has led and supported legislation protecting women and children and physicians who care for them. Dr. Barford is a Clinical Professor in the UW Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Providence Everett Regional Medical Center.
