First Day Orientation
Seattle-area sites (including Yakima, Richland and Wenatchee)
Report to: University of Washington
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Room BB-667H (Conference Room)
Time: 8:00am until approx. 5:00pm
Day: First day of 6-week Ob/Gyn rotation
Presentations: • Review of course guide and expectations of rotation
• OB Anesthesia
Book Rental: $10 book rental fee for the Blueprints text, $5 book rental fee for the Lange Q&A text
Assigned Site: Following morning orientation, students other than UWMC report to
the clerkship coordinator at their assigned site, which will have its
own orientation, usually that afternoon. You should come prepared to
go directly to your assigned site.
All other sites
Orientation information is provided in a cover letter accompanying the rotation information packet sent out in advance by email. Most sites have required paperwork that must be completed and turned in approximately 4–5 weeks prior to the start of your rotation in order to have privileges in place when your rotation begins.

Site Schedules
Work hours will not be specifically logged unless you feel it is necessary because of a potential violation. If you are working close to the 80-hour limit, please document your hours for the week in question and present these to your Site Director as soon as possible. Your work schedule will be modified as appropriate. Further concerns should be brought to the attention of the Clerkship director. You will never be discriminated against for following the work hour policy. For more details about this policy, please refer to the Reference section of this website.

Final Day of Clerkship
Report To: University of Washington (for students taking final exam in Seattle only)
Exam location and room number are indicated in the advance email sent to students approximately a week prior to the final exam. Students may call (206) 543-3892 to confirm room number.
