PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As a bridge from Washington community colleges, the UW extended an invitation to Seattle Central Community College (SCCC) to offer a class on the UW Seattle campus during spring quarter of 2001. This interdisciplinary class is taught by faculty from SCCC and serves as a way for community college students to become familiar with UW college life.

FINDINGS

Community College Connection 2001

Community college students were administered an end-of-quarter questionnaire developed by the course instructors and evaluation staff. The purpose of the survey was to gather students' perceptions of their experience at the UW. As shown in the response frequencies, student reaction was very positive, with many students wishing to continue their studies at the UW.
