ABOUT US & WELCOME

The Occupational & Environmental Medicine Program is located in Seattle, WA, at one of the main teaching hospitals for the University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center. The program has both academic and clinical components. The academic program meets the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and has been a fully accredited program since 1995. The clinic and Harborview Medical Center, in 1999, received Accreditation with Commendation from JCAHO. Harborview Medical Center is the premier Level 1 Trauma Center in the Pacific Northwest.

We invite you to take a look around. You may want more information about our services, people or program. Occupational and environmental medicine is a growing and increasingly important field within environmental health. From the protection of workers to understanding the effects on children, occupational and environmental medicine will continue to play an important role in the preservation of the environment, play an integral role in research and aid in policy decisions of the future.
