OUR SERVICES
Teaching:
  The Faculty of the OEM Program are focused and dedicated. With a distinguished history of teaching excellence, the faculty fully integrate their skills and knowledge in the courses taught each academic year. Click here to see a list of recommended and required courses for completion of the Master of Public Health degree. The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences also offers continuing education classes.
   
Research:
  In fiscal year 2000, the program worked with over $3 million in federal grant money on projects such as Former Hanford Worker Medical Surveillance, International Scholars in Occupational and Environmental Health and Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, among others. Current and former (research) in environmental health and occupational illnesses has aided several local and federal agencies, as well as private industry.
   
Clinical:
  The Occupational & Environmental (Clinic) operates out of Harborview Medical Center. Services include surveillance activities for the Washington State Department of Labor & Industry, Worker’s Compensation programs, respiratory problems and asthma, Asbestosis, chemical exposures, occupational reproductive hazards and upper extremity musculoskelatal injuries, such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, among others.
