The Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency/Fellowship Program is a two-year training program which seeks to train physicians for leadership roles in the practice and teaching of clinical occupational and environmental medicine and occupational health research. The program is a joint venture between the Departments of Medicine and Environmental Health at the University of Washington. Course work for completion of the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is designed into the academic curriculum of the two-year program.

Once you have gone through our application process and you are accepted into the Residency/Fellowship program, you will also need to apply to the University of Washington Graduate School. Please click the link for information and requirements. Note - if you are a graduate from a foreign medical school, a passing TOEFL score is required within the past two years.

  • Completion of one year of approved internship, three years training in primary care specialty is encouraged.
