SERVICES OFFERED:
The Occupational and Environmental Medicine Clinic offers treatments based on comprehensive testing performed in the clinic, baseline exposure screening programs, and medical monitoring. There are also ongoing treatments for a number of work-related health conditions such as:

  • Respiratory problems and asthma
  • Asbestosis
  • Chemical exposures
  • Upper extremity musculoskelatal injuries
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other repetitive motion disorders
  • Hearing loss
  • Occupational reproductive hazards
  • Contact dermatitis
  • Medical monitoring/surveillance evaluations and review
  • Respirator clearance exams

CENTER for CHEMICALLY RELATED ILLNESS:
This special center within the clinic provides diagnosis and treatment for patients with chemically related illness (CRI). The Center for Chemically Related Illness also works to improve public understanding of CRI through educational programs, and seeks to create a research base for medical issues involving exposure to chemicals. The center offers:

  • Industrial hygiene services including workplace evaluations
  • The Environmental Challenge chamber (an exposure chamber testing for appropriate clinical situations)
  • Medical toxicology consultations
  • Occupational health consultations
  • Medical director service
  • Field studies
  • Occupational epidemiology
