Las catorce unidades de la Oficina de Asuntos de Minorías y Diversidad (OMA&D) son conectadas por un compromiso apasionado con el multiculturalismo, y el acceso y logros académicos de nuestros estudiantes. Los programas proporcionan servicios a los estudiantes y promueven la diversidad de el plan de estudios, profesores y del personal. La mayoría de estos programas están situados en o cerca del campus de la Universidad de Washington en Seattle, algunos ofrecen servicios en la ciudad de Goldendale, y en los condados de Skagit, Snohomish, y de Yakima. Un fuerte componente de alcance comunitario mantiene OMA&D en contacto con el estado y las escuelas secundarias locales y organizaciones comunitarias.

La Oficina de Asuntos de las Minorías y Diversidad ofrece programas que:

  • Ayudan a los alumnos de grados 6-12 pensar y prepararse para estudios universitarios
  • Apoyan la excelencia académica y el logro de estudiantes universitarios
  • Animan a los estudiantes a considerar los estudios de posgrado y profesionales
  • Gradúan a futuros líderes y mentores de diversos orígenes
  • Crean un clima de bienvenida al campus para estudiantes, profesores y personal
  • Abogan, crean y llevan a cabo los esfuerzos de diversidad en el campus
  • Participan con alumnos graduados y diversas comunidades
