AMTI Force and Motion Academic Scholarship – Deadline: February 1 2012

The Force and Motion Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, fully funded by AMTI to support students in fields related to multi-axis force measurement and testing. We distribute scholarships throughout the year to help students on their paths to becoming the scientific leaders of tomorrow. The Foundation also serves as creator and curator of the Virtual Poster Session, an international resource for information exchange and networking within the academic community.

The Force and Motion Academic Scholarship, made possible by funds from AMTI, is awarded annually to assist promising graduate students in fields related to multi-axis force measurement and testing, such as:

  • Biomechanical Engineering
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Biotribology
  • Human factors and Ergonomics
  • Kinesiology
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Neuroscience
  • Orthopedic Research
  • Physical Therapy
  • Posturography
  • Sports sciences
  • During the 2011–2012 academic year, the Foundation will award two $10,000 scholarships to help defray the qualified expenses of two promising graduate students. Scholarships will be offered on a competitive basis; applications will be judged by the Force and Motion Foundation’s review board based on quality, scientific contribution, and innovation.

    Full scholarship details as well as an online application form can be found at ForceAndMotion.org. The Foundation also offers quarterly travel scholarships on a competitive basis to participants in the Virtual Poster Session.

    To be considered for the awards, each student must complete an online application at ForceAndMotion.org before February 1, 2012.
