Teacher Education Opportunity:

Examining Ourselves
in Order to be Culturally Responsive Educators and Create Inclusive Environments

Intended for post-secondary teachers, UW students, and K-12 teachers.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA) work and initiatives have changed greatly since 2020. As educators we quickly pivoted to different approaches and often looked for playbooks to help us navigate these changes. We are always trying to elevate the students’ experience and consider the diversity of thought and perspectives while teaching our content and skills. In this interactive, reflective, and practical workshop, we will examine strategies to help foster more welcoming, respectful, and safe learning environments for our students and our colleagues. Clock hours will be offered. Note that while this workshop is free to participants, registration is required. (Lunch is provided.)
