The Office of Medical Staff Appointments (OMSA) is responsible for the credentialing and
privileging of all medical staff for UW Medicine Facilities, including University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC),
Harborview Medical Center (HMC), Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), University of Washington Physicians Network (UWPN),
and Hall Health. OMSA processes new appointments, reappointments, and new privilege requests for the medical staff.
OMSA works with the medical directors for UWMC, HMC, SCCA, UWPN, Hall Health, and with the School of Medicine academic
departments and the Office of Faculty Appointments (OFA) to ensure the timely processing of all medical staff appointment
requests.
