Dr. Higano received her MD from University of Massachusetts Worcester, Massachusetts. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota. She was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Oncology at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, WA.
