While we’ve been talking about this in the lab for a couple of years, we gave it a try a couple of weeks ago.
How about mixing different colors (or materials) in the feed bin to provide multi-color (or multi-material) objects.
You are looking at a feed bin with two pieces of cardboard inserted to produce some separated space. Remember to remove the cardboard before printing.
Here we have a layer during a 3D print. One can see the multi-color spread as taken from the feed bin shown above.
Here’s the final result (after kiln firing). Shown are two SW pots produced via a multi-color powder bed.
