UW OpenDOOR is a portal of free resources devised and initiated by UW TechTransfer Digital Ventures. UW OpenDOOR aggregates links to and descriptions of as many open source software projects, freeware projects, web-based tools, teaching simulations and datasets created at UW as we know about. While we have no direct connection to many of these projects, we collect information about them in a single website to give users both easier access to these tools and an idea of the depth and breadth of innovation occurring here on a daily basis.

One of the goals of Digital Ventures is to maximize the impact to the public of software and digital media developed at the University. Since our staff has worked for years to manage and deploy licensed intellectual property created here at UW, it seems only natural that we offer people a look into all of UW's digital resources that are offered free of charge. We hope you enjoy looking around, downloading code, using these web-based tools, and more.
