The Oculoplastic Fellowship Application Process ![]() Candidates should complete applications for the Oculoplastic Fellowship as early as warranted by interest in the fellowship. Candidates must have satisfactorily completed an accredited residency in ophthalmology prior to beginning fellowship training and be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Washington. Candidates will be invited for an interview after preliminary judgments are made on the basis of the written application and supporting documents. Selection is made through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Successful candidates will be appointed concurrently as a Senior Fellow and as a junior faculty member at the rank of Acting Instructor. The first-year stipend is usually at the R-5 level (currently $51,780 annually), and the second-year stipend is at the R-6 level (currently $54,264 annually). Other benefits include generous health, dental, and life insurance, as well as malpractice coverage. Appointments are expected to be two years in duration, renewable annually, but longer periods of training can be negotiated to meet educational needs of the fellow.We will mail application information beginning Fall 2007 for the Spring 2008 Match.
