Jessica L. Chen, MD Dr. Chen was born and raised in Santa Ana, California. She received her BA in Integrative Biology at University of California, Berkeley and her MD at UCLA/Drew Medical Education Program in Los Angeles. Dr. Chen completed her preliminary year at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Los Angeles. |

Jeffrey Peckinpaugh, MD Dr. Peckinpaugh was born and raised in Florence, Montana. He received his BS in Biomedicine at the Montana State University in Bozeman and his MD at the University of Washington. Dr. Peckinpaugh completed his transitional year at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. |

Ashley Hayden, MD Dr. Hayden was born and raised in the Northwest. She received her BA in History of Art at Yale University and her MD at the Keck-USC School of Medicine in Los Angeles. Dr. Hayden completed her internship at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA. |

Louis Yang, MD Dr. Yang was born in Taiwan and moved to Vancouver, BC at age 11. He received his BS in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from UCLA and his MD from the Chicago Medical School in Illinois. Dr. Yang completed his transitional year at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. |

Jason M. Dettori, MD Dr. Dettori was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to an Army faculty. He received his BS in Environmental Health from the Univ. of Washington, and his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston. Dr. Dettori completed his internship at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. |

Daniel B. Moore, MD Dr. Moore was born in Houston, Texas and received his BS in Biology from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He received his MD from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his preliminary year at the University of Washington Medical Center. |

Sharel C. Ongchin, MD Dr. Ongchin was born and raised in Murray Hill, New Jersey. She received her BA in Biochemistry/Cell Biology from Rice University, Houston and her MD from the Keck- USC School of Medicine in Los Angeles. Dr. Ongchin completed her transitional year at Harbor-UCLA in Los Angeles. |

Gus L. Stein, MD Dr. Stein was born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He received his BS in Biology from Carroll College in Helena, Montana and his MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Stein completed his preliminary year at the University of Washington Medical Center. |

Deana Choi, MD Dr. Choi is a northwest native, born and raised in Marysville, Washington. She attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate education and went on to the Medical College of Wisconsin for her MD. Dr. Choi has returned to Seattle and the University of Washington for her Intern Year as well as her Residency. Her hobbies include golf, tennis and traveling. |

Paramdeep Mand, MD Dr. Mand, a California native, attended a combined undergraduate/medical school program, the Thomas Haider UCR/UCLA Program. Hailing from Diamond Bar, a suburb of Los Angeles, Dr. Mand majored in Biomedical Sciences. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, listening to music and attending shows, as well as spending time with his family and friends. |

Emile Sharifi, MD Dr. Sharifi is a native of Minnesota who completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA where he actively participated in humanitarian efforts such as helping run what is now the largest free health clinic in south-central Los Angeles, located just blocks from where the 1992 started. After his undergraduate education he spent a year in Syria on a Fulbright grant scholarship. Medical School then brought Emile to UCSF where he took up an active interest in cost-effectiveness analysis research and international Ophthalmology. |
