We were honored to have Mr. Key Donn\u00a0(\u5510\u514b\u5148\u751f) as a speaker of our monthly community forum.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/3.pic_.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-672\" src=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/3.pic_.jpg\" alt=\"3.pic\" width=\"918\" height=\"611\" srcset=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/3.pic_.jpg 918w, http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/3.pic_-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 918px) 100vw, 918px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Donn, a first-generation Chinese American, was born in Nanking, China and grown up in Taiwan. Key received his bachelor\u2019s degree in Mathematics from Chung-Yuan Christian College in Taiwan, 1971 and an MBA in Information Management from City University in Seattle, 1993. Key also worked toward his MS in Computer Science from California State University in Fullerton, California during 1978 -1980 period.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/2.pic_.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-673\" src=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/2.pic_.jpg\" alt=\"2.pic\" width=\"886\" height=\"688\" srcset=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/2.pic_.jpg 886w, http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/2.pic_-300x233.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 886px) 100vw, 886px\" \/><\/a>As a Senior System Architect in BCA CAS BDS System Domain Architecture supporting Toolbox and Material Management IT, Mr. Donn\u00a0is responsible for infrastructure performance and capacity planning for both programs. His efforts and achievements have earned him multiple awards in the past several years.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Donn\u00a0has worked on a diverse range of assignments in Boeing\u2019s defense and commercial airplane business units in the past 31 years, including the first Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) in Fabrication Division and the first Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) delivery for NATO Midterm project. Key retired on April 25<sup>th<\/sup>, 2015 after 35 years in Boeing.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/1.pic_.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-674\" src=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/1.pic_.jpg\" alt=\"1.pic\" width=\"906\" height=\"653\" srcset=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/1.pic_.jpg 906w, http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/oralhist\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/1.pic_-300x216.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 906px) 100vw, 906px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Donn\u00a0enjoys spending time with his wife, Lily, and his two sons, Alex and Thomas. Alex is working at AT&amp;T Wireless as a Senior Product Manager since 2009 and Thomas is a Microbiology Automation Bioinformaticist at NanoString Technologies in Seattle. Key enjoyed every minutes with his two sons, they ski in the winter and sailing or hiking in the summer.
