The Mother's Day event is being hosted at Seward Park this year on Sunday, May 12th. Please plan to arrive at least fifteen minutes before the 9am start. Posted signs will guide you to the registration table and starting line located at picnic shelter #1, just southeast of the main parking lot and very near the play area. Follow the link below to a Google map of the course and directions to the parking area:
This particular Sunday is designated a Bicycle Sunday by Seattle's Department of Parks and Recreation, and Lake Washington Blvd will be closed to vehicular traffic between Mount Baker Park and Seward Park from 10am - 6pm. In the spirit of the Center for Women's Sports Medicine and Lifetime Fitness, you may wish to choose bicycling as your mode of transportation to the event. If you will be traveling by car, please note that you will not be able to drive north on Lake Washington Boulevard after 10am.
The first 150 registrants will receive a free reusable biodegradable water bottle courtesy of The University of Washington Center for Women's Sports Medicine and Lifetime Fitness. No clocks will be running during the run. Just have fun and enjoy a healthy start to your Mother's Day!
