Welcome to the University of Washington Veterans Center! Our office serves military veterans and their dependents during their time as students at the UW. The Veterans Center staff provides students with information about VA educational benefits, certifies GI Bill benefits, and answers questions about financial aid. The Veterans Center also has resources for students who need help making their academic pursuits as successful as possible. With resources including the Disability Resources Center, Advising, and the Career Center, the UW provides services to help students find their way on campus and beyond.
The UW Veterans Center helps student veterans as they transfer from military to student life by creating a space on campus where all veterans can go to develop a sense of unity, pride, and community. Students can come to the Veterans Center during regular hours and enjoy the lounge space, tables for studying, and free coffee while waiting in between classes or just to hang out.
The UW also offers several student veteran groups like the Husky United Military Veterans and Foster Veterans Association (there is no shortage of opportunities for students to get involved in all aspects of student life). If you are looking to attend the University of Washington, view our Getting Started Guide to see what your next steps are.
The Veterans Center is located in the Husky Union Building (HUB) in room 327. Stop by to meet our staff and visit with other veterans. For a map and information about bus service, directions, and parking near the HUB see Get to the HUB.
