FAQ SHEET
NEW PROGRAM INFORMATION
- The allocation that participants are eligible to receive will be based on the number of credits for which they are registered. If participants register for full-time (Graduate = 10 credits, Undergraduate = 12 credits) they are eligible to receive either 60% or the maximum allocation (based on the age of the child). If they register for less than full-time, the percent paid by the program will be pro-rated based on the number of credits for which they are registered.
- Participants are eligible to receive assistance for each quarter they are enrolled in classes.
- There is no minimum number of quarters that participants must be enrolled to maintain eligibility.
- If participants have an additional child during the year who was not included on the Childcare Request Application, that child will be served only if funding is available.
- All forms that students may be required to complete during the year (Verification, Certification, W-9) are available on the Childcare website at https://depts.washington.edu/ovpsa/childcare.
- The Childcare Assistance Program will not send courtesy letters (children’s age change/allocation changes and due-date reminders for verification forms) via postal mail but the office will continue to send these notices via email.
